I have been a writer/columnist for over thirty years. My focus have been folk and country music in the Maritimes, but I have also been involved in writing for the Atlantic Advocate, Canada Folk Bulletin, Canadian Bluegrass Review magazine, Christian Science Monitor, for five years was the New Brunswick monthly columnist for the Canadian Country Music News, and more recently The Maritime Bluegrass Magazine. My credibility and expertise has been recognized throughout this time by invitations to jury musicians for many local and TV talent competitions including the ECMA’s, the national CCMA’s and JUNO’s .
AT PRESENT- Between other casual employments, I am entertainment organizer for the Saint John Exhibition Association as well as a Member of the Exhibition Association, vice-president of the New Brunswick Country Music Hall Of Fame and write news releases, Received a 2007 artsnb grant to research Wilf Carter and his family years as a New Brunswick resident. I have spent the last ten years gathering local (Maritime) information on related country music artists particularly Wilf Carter.
